Eating meat has never been something that I enjoyed or thought was right, at the age of 12 I decided that I didn’t want to eat meat anymore and since then I haven’t touched it. I have no interest, no enjoyment for the taste and all round think it’s a horrible thing. When I tell people, I don’t eat meat they often ask me how I manage it or the most common question ‘but what do you eat?’ Well I eat everything and anything else. A plate is usually made up of a staple food like potato, rice or pasta and then a vegetable section and then the meat part, instead of meat I have things like Quorn, tofu, or other vegetarian options. It isn’t hard at all to eat at home, Adi does eat meat but not very often, the only time is if he adds a little something to his meal or if we eat out. However, eating out is a completely different situation, often we go to restaurants and I have 2 maybe 3 options to choose from and they often include a salad. It is changing slowly but surely that more places offer a wider option for vegetarians and even vegans but it is nowhere near the same for meat eaters.
